Description
Black Sabbath formed in 1968 with Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward laying the foundation of heavy metal. Classic albums like Paranoid and Master of Reality defined the genre.
In 1980, Ronnie James Dio replaced Ozzy leading to hits like Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules. The band saw many line-up changes, but Iommi remained constant.
Their final album 13 (2013) marked a return to their roots before retiring in 2017.
